4th grade went on a field trip to Hoyt Arboretum. They learned about trees and their unique traits while practicing observation and comparison skills.

Cross country athletes heading to first meet of the year!

Miss Eve has offered a middle school elective this trimester called "LEGO Robotics." Check out some of the students getting creative with coding and building.





Ms. Zoe and SIS students have been busy harvesting our spring/summer garden and preparing our fall garden.
Kindergarten working on noticing and wondering in their new Language Arts Module called “Our Five Senses."




Mr. Radich and Mr. Shea are leading a middle school elective class this trimester called "Game On & Lawn Games." A mix between board/card games, and getting active with some popular lawn games! Here's a couple pictures of them learning card games.



Join in on the fun, SICA and The Savuie Islalnd Grange is hosting a community party on September 14th. All are welcome.

Great to have everyone back at school! A reminder that today, and all Wednesdays, are early release. Dismissal is at 2:05. Thank you!

SIS staff have been busy preparing the classrooms and enjoying our professional learning which included a visit to a middle school restoration project at Ruby Lake. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the BBQ tonight.

Ms. Mashell is on a Seattle trip visiting the trolls. The first of 5 to see.

Important dates: Wednesday, August 27th- back to school BBQ, Tuesday, September 2nd- First day of school for 1st-8th grade, Thursday, September 4th,-First day of school for Kinders.

Ms. Mask has been going on lots of walks and taking trips to the beach on hot days. Lyle has been rolling all over and most recently started to try and sit up!
