  • Lead Custodial/Facilities Position: Under the general supervision of the executive director, oversees and personally performs work required to maintain the school, related buildings, and adjacent grounds in a safe sanitary, and orderly condition. Performs a variety of custodial, grounds keeping, minor repairs, and related tasks associated with the upkeep of the facilities and grounds. Oversee and coordinate environmental safety programs to ensure School, State, and Federal regulations are met.

  • Physical Education Teacher (Part-Time): The Physical Education teacher promotes and develops successful learning and healthy attitudes and behaviors for students in physical education through a creative, innovative, Place-based approach. The teacher performs instructional and related duties per the state standards in physical education. The PE teacher performs duties in accordance with ORS, SIS Policies, and the terms of the staff handbook. The PE teacher cooperates and collaborates with staff, families, and students. An SIS teacher understands and promotes the school’s Place-based mission, vision, objectives, and policies within and outside the immediate school community. The teacher is responsible for providing a Place-Based/Project Based and Integrated instructional program that supports the individual needs of all children. Teachers use backward design models and collaboration to design and implement these programs. A commitment to professional growth/learning and collaboration amongst colleagues is highly important.

  • Art Teacher K-5 & MS Elective (Part-Time): This position provides Art instruction for grades K-5 and Middle School Elective*. They will be responsible for developing in each student an interest and ability for creative expression while teaching skills, standards, and techniques for artistic expression consistent with current ODE Art Standards, Place-based approach, and CCSS. They will aim to facilitate students’ understanding and exploration of the elements of art, principles of design, past and contemporary artists, art skills, and techniques in a range of different art mediums. This teacher will also be responsible for classroom management, grading, and parent communication while teaching, organizing, and executing an existing art program. In addition, they will provide a digital photography/yearbook opportunity for upper-grade students. They will work collaboratively with all members of the school staff and parents. (This is a contracted position with our Parent Teacher Club.)
