Middle School Update:
As we head into a new trimester, Mr. Hess would like all middle school families to know that students must have a separate pair of shoes for PE. These need to stay clean to protect our gym floor and maintain a safe playing surface. Even if you wear athletic shoes to school, you must have a clean pair for the gym. No crocs, boots, dress shoes or slippers.
Beginning this trimester, being prepared with proper PE shoes will now be part of the middle school’s PE assessments for grading. If you don't have access to an extra pair of shoes, please contact Mr. Hess (rhess@sauvieislandschool.org) as he has extra shoes and can assign a pair to your student.
Thank you!

Parents, our Lost & Found is packed! If your student has come home missing a sweatshirt, coat, or lunchbox lately… it might be here. 😄
Please remind your child to check before Winter Break—all remaining items will be donated next week.

Our second annual See's Candies fundraiser is currently underway! Order forms went home with students on 11/6/25 and are due back on Tuesday, 12/2/25. Orders will be ready to go home with students on Friday, 12/19/25.
See's Candies make delicious treats and wonderful holiday gifts, and the upcoming Thanksgiving break is a perfect time to ask family and friends to support our school through a purchase.
We are also excited to share that the PTC is establishing a new scholarship program for high school graduates who are Sauvie Island School alumni. Proceeds from this year's See's Candies fundraiser will help establish the "Ava Lee Crews Memorial Scholarship," created in honor of Ava Crews.
Thank you so much for your continued support of our school and scholars!
