Hello Families and Friends, Here is today's Jog A Thon update - 10/31 School-wide, we have raised $18,598. We are so close to our $20,000, needing only $1,402. 4th grade is in the lead with $2,935. This important event funds the SIS technology program. We appreciate everyone's support. Please continue to bring in your pledges. Tomorrow we will announce if Mrs. Schact will kiss a pig (we must raise $20,000) and what class gets their special celebration.

Please continue to send in your pledges. Mrs. Schact ( gr.3) will kiss a pig if we hit our goal and the class who raises the most will get a special group celebration. This fundraiser is vital to our technology program. We appreciate everyone's support and we are so grateful to be a part of this AMAZING community.

These funds give us the ability to provide a 1:1 iPad ratio in grades 1-8 and technology stations in Kindergarten. By integrating technology and Place-Based objectives we are helping create learners who are capable of independently creating digital storybooks, artwork, presentations connected to the community, and real-life applications.                                      If we reach our $20,000 goal Mrs.Schacht (gr.3) will kiss a pig!! In addition, the class who raises the most funds receives a special prize just for them. The highest-earning student will receive a gift certificate for the school's Scholastic book fair. Please continue to send in your pledges.  Thank you for your support.

Today's Jog A Thon update- 10/24 Funds raised school-wide $9,182. 8th grade is still in the lead with $1538. We still need to raise $10,818. to reach our $20,000 goal. If we reach our goal it will provide needed funds for our technology program, but Mrs.Schacht (Gr.3) will kiss a pig! In addition to the pig kiss the class that raises the most funds earns a class celebration. The highest student earner receives a Scholastic gift card to be used at the school book fair. We want to send a BIG thank you to our families and community members.

Today's Jog A Thon update 10/23 Funds raised school-wide $8,327 8th grade is still in the lead bringing in a total of $1,538 We still need to raise $11,673 to meet our $20,000 goal. Kinders $503 1st $1,173 2nd $1,117 3rd $676 4th $1,147 5th $1,217 6th $742 7th $220 8th $1,538 All Jog A Thon monies go directly to funding our technology program. This program helps foster creativity, independence, and curiosity. Thank you to our families and community members for your continued support.

Food Drive coming up 11/4-11/7

Sauvie Island School is participating in The Oregon CRUNCH event. This event is to celebrate Farm to School- a time when schools, farms, and communities come together. The event will be held on October 22nd during student lunch times. The students will get to try local Sauvie Island produce.

Our kindergarten students started a new ELA book with a partner 'notice and wonder' activity.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Columbia Farms twilight pumpkin picking. $1567 was raised for the school! We are so grateful to this wonderful community.
