The students are hard at work in the school garden, digging, planting, and discovering how food grows from the ground up. This outdoor classroom helps students learn science, teamwork, responsibility, and healthy habits while connecting with nature. Service beyond the classroom! The NJHS students proudly represented our school at the annual SICA community event, showing what student leadership looks like in action.

3rd grade took a field trip to Vanport Mosaic and got to listen to Vanport survivors & explore other silenced histories.

Hello, families. Our spring paper drive has begun!

Spring planting in the upper garden, starting seeds in the greenhouse, making seed paper, transplanting, relaxing after weeding in the native species garden, planting 100 radish seeds for the 100th day of school.
Our amazing students have earned 10,500 Sauvie Stars! They have earned a PJ day this Friday, March 6th. Please leave stuffies, slippers, and blankets at home.

4th grade celebrated National Engineers Week with a guest speaker who gave them an engineering problem to solve. They needed to build a lunar lander that when dropped from above their head, can safely deliver a passenger. The engineering design process was utilized to plan, test, and re-design to accomplish the task.
