SIS is gearing up for a great year! We need all students to register before the start of the school year; therefore, SIS has registration day. We offer one drop-in session for Kindergarten (and new students) from 9 AM to noon and one drop-in session for returning Students from 1:30 PM to 6 PM. Parents can register their student(s) anytime during their designated session. It typically only takes about 20 minutes to register a student.
At registration, we will have you:
Review your old registration forms to see if any updates are needed
Turn in a copy of your student’s birth certificate (If we don’t have it already)
A copy of your student's current immunizations
Sign forms like our Place-Based Field Trip, Internet Usage, Handbook, etc.
Pay ahead for School Lunches, Classroom Consumable Contributions*
Provide Pick-up & Drop-off Information, Bus info, and Carpool Info if you need it
Fill out the School Volunteer form if it has been two years
Pick up a School Calendar, Supply List, Lunch Menu, etc.

*Classroom Consumables Contribution
As a public charter school, Sauvie Island School receives only 80% of the State School Fund dollars. This reduces our funding by approximately $577,000 this coming year. Therefore, our ability to purchase consumable items each year is a challenge.
Each year, Sauvie Island School spends about $130 per child to provide the consumable supplies necessary to ensure your child’s continued success in the classroom. These consumable supplies differ for each grade level and include:
Transportation to and from field trips
Technological devices and Apps
Science supplies & journals
Periodicals like Scholastic News, Science World, and Story Works
Paper, printer ink, presentation boards
Garden and habitat supplies
Clay, Paints, Construction Paper
Other miscellaneous supplies
We would greatly appreciate a tax-deductible contribution from each family to help us cover the expense of these necessary items! Please consider providing a payment of $80 for each child toward consumable classroom supplies. Your contribution can be made at the school during registration or sent in by mail. If this contribution is prohibitive, please contact us.
